When I formed Greenland in 2006, the first person to respond to my Craigslist ad was Patrick Rickelton, a kindred musical spirit. We immediately gelled over our shared love of Simon and Garfunkel, Sigur Ros, and The Beatles, and while we spent the first two years playing together in Greenland, we eventually splintered off and recorded a surprising amount of indie pop tunes in just a short 2 years.
