A SIMPLE LIFE

"I saw the decade in, when it seemed the world could change at the blink of an eye. And if anything, then there's your sign of the times.
I was alive and I waited, waited. I was alive and I waited for this.
Right here, right now there is no other place I want to be. Right here, right now watching the world wake up from history.
- Jesus Jones - "Right Here Right Now"

My world right now is only hard if I look at my phone or watch the news. Otherwise, it's quite simple, if a little boring. I wake up. I drink coffee. I bring in supplies from the porch with gloves and lysol spray. I make food for me and my family. I entertain my kids. I get work done. I write. I drink some beers and some whiskies. I talk to friends. I check in on my folks. I grow some veggies and fruits and I talk to the plants. I pet my cat. I play video games, and read books. I listen to music.

So much music. So so much music.

And when I'm feeling good and centered I turn on the news and the reality of the world around me just knocks me flat and spins me around and wrecks everything.

And then I go to bed and I wake up and start everything again. I reboot my simple life and I head out into the backyard and I listen to the birds chirping and the leaves swaying in the breeze and I watch all this life grow and thrive and blossom in front of me, day after day. It's all there, all this life, all this striving and growth.

So much music.

So so much music.
