It's clear that we're all going to have to work together as a community in order to get through this crisis. Many of us don't have family or friends nearby, so the nearest option for help is going to be our neighbors.
I want to help the community stay together and work through this together, which is why I've created a simple way for households to "adopt" each other to share resources, information, and check in on one another every once in awhile. That way everyone will have at least one other person looking out for them who is close enough to be a help in an emergency.
Getting started is simple:
1. Sign up to adopt a household (takes 1 minute)
2. I'll then pair you with another household in your neighborhood
3. You take it from there
Or, if you're more comfortable finding a household yourself, you can sign up for the Community Resource Forum for free and post in the ADOPT A FAMILY thread.
In order to connect households, I do have to collect a little bit of information about every household, but I'm not storing it anywhere, won't use the info for anything other than connecting households, and will delete all data as soon as it's been shared with the other household.
